SUmmer doesn't start officially for another 20 or so days. However, I did have to put my AC on, going to get warm here in NorCal this weekend.

Mine started last night as I had a hot night at the poker table, winning $23

Tonight I've got dinner with an old friend. A couple of drinks, likely cheese burgers 'n fries, and the stories of the past (AKA lies - LOL).
Stepping out with the wife and another couple on Saturday night. Perhaps "Pasta Louise" a wonderful place that makes their own pasta. One different type on the menu every day depending on the chef's mood. Outdoor dining, excellent food, and the wine flows freely.
Sunday a friend is giving a presentation on the old Brooklyn Dodgers and Ebbets Field :

The late May/early June timeframe is my favorite. Longest days of the year and not quite crazy hot and humid yet

I’ll take October, brisk fall weather, big starry nights. One can walk outside their house without every pore opening up to drop a bead of sweat.

Dropped my son off at the airport. Last summer he was doing an internship here in CT so we got to see him every weekend. Now it's a week in May and a week and half in August since he's decided to stay in his apartment at the university full time. It's tough to watch them go a live in another part of country but that's all part of growing up

This time next week I will be in the car, halfway to Vermont, to visit my daughter and her fiancee. So I am reporting this a week early :)

Two days of driving, up and back, sandwiching a three-day visit. We were supposed to attend an outdoor concert at Shelburne Farms Sunday, but last week got notice the band cancelled due to a "medical crisis" with a member. Bummer.

But the couple is also throwing themself an engagement party Saturday. Will be nice to see them.
