I think Kruger was one of the players Bisciotti was talking about during his post-conference presser when year, when he said "we" have to do a better job of finding out what we have in players early. Rather than parking draftees behind starters for a couple years, and only getting one or two good high-performing seasons out of them.

I just looked it up and you raised a great point. That Indy PO game I mentioned happened to also be his contract year. So yeah, he was reaching expectations before he left.

Thanks! That’s why I get that Cody and Kruger confused, and that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Next I’ll be thinking Buffalo Bill Cody was a Raven and Ray Lewis set an NFL rushing record, ran a SB kickoff back for a TD, and was a Raven’s DC. I’m tapping out while I’m ahead. Hahaha.

Damn Jim, my memory might be worse than I thought! Lol. I’m thinking of Paul Kruger. DE. Always had “potential” Had a great PO game against Indy in 2012 PO run… ok maybe, a good game. Never played up to expectations.

Kruger was stuck behind Suggs, so they had him put on weight to play DE. When that didn’t work, he had to drop the weight and switch back. Once he was able to settle into a position, he played well. It’s not easy when your team is jerking you around.
