They aren't firing EDC. Harbaugh would be fired first.

The cap space even for a lowered offer is pretty much gone throughout the league. If it were gonna happen it would have. And they have the leverage of saying "We match. If you have an issue you can sit out and enjoy not getting paid."

If it's a reasonable deal we match or ask for more than 2 firsts.

You are panicking for no reason whatsoever. HE HAS NO SUITORS! His pool of potential suitors is quite small (those with a need, cap space, and two firsts).

We can still talk trade with teams in any case. Those that don't have two first we can allow to talk to Lamar as long as we come to an understanding of what we would need in trade.

A lot of you guys can't read the situation. I am a terrible poker player but my guess is I could make a few bucks off of a game consisting on posters here.

And what force Lamar to play for an organization he requested a trade from? Not happening. The whole league knows it. Yes Lamar has botched the offseason but we are not passengers in this disaster we are active participants in it. We knew Lamar wanted out and still used the NET.

We should have placed the ET on him and started the bidding from day 1. We have no leverage in this at all anymore at some point either a team is going to meet Lamars asking price or he will lower it and sign with another club for less. Regardless he is done here and we are getting a garbage return and all the cap money we are saving by not putting the ET on won't matter because either way we dont have a qb.

Then you are angry at the wrong person.

EDC's doing his job. Not bankrupting the team he is responsible for for years to come, and not neutering the entire team until a diva figures out he has a MARKET value and comes to the table to negotiate like an adult.

THAT is why he put the NE tag on the diva. It was the only thing to do given the circumstances.

And he is being proven RIGHT.

    Fuck this diva.

They'd both be fired together but that's not in March

What part of "the Ravens can match" do you not understand?
If Lamar signs an offer sheet with another team, and the Ravens match it, he has no choice but to play here. If he wants to play at all, that is. And if some other team wants to give him a ridiculous offer the Ravens don't want to match, well, so be it.

Dude. There was no other option. the issue is not trade compensation but finding a team that will make Lamar happy on the contract. Had the Ravens put the exclusive tag on Lamar he would have played on it.
