Maybe I've missed too much time around here over the past couple days, but in what world would it make sense to rescind the tag and who wants them too?
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

I would consider rescinding the tag right before he signed it if he held out past the trade deadline. Not until the very last moment before he would actually start to earn income however.

Why on earth would you rescind the tag? People be tripping I don't want Lamar back but the idea that he doesn't have value in a trade is nuts.
Do people not realize we need to draft a qb after this? Drafting Lamar at the end of the first was pure luck. Don't expect it to happen again most of the top QB are drafted at the top of the draft.
I don't want the ravens to rebuild and suck for half a decade or more when we tread water searching for a qb. I've been there done that.

Rescind the tag. I keep reading that nobody wants him anyway. Rescind it, let me sit there, then offer him 8M a year for 3 years. What's the worst that can happen?
