College charges so much BECAUSE of the ease of access to funds for students.

Want college to stop being so expensive? Reduce the access to loans, and start pushing alternatives in guidance counselors offices. Community college, trade schools and the military.

College may not actually drop in price but it will certainly stop increasing as they lose students rapidly.

While technology has made a lot of things like TVs cheaper two things that have gone up continually and more than anything else in my lifetime are education and healthcare.

And you can directly tie that rise starting to the 60s with Medicare and Medicaid as well as the beginning of the federal involvement in education.
