Not sure what you're trying to say. 100% I think the Ravens like Lamar and preferred to keep him here long term. Their goal was never a tag and trade scenario. It's just gotten to that point because Lamar is sticking to the guaranteed money thing.

If everything is true I dont know why they would sign Lamar long term at all, tbh the FO has looked weak and unwilling to move on from Lamar and thats a big criticism of mine they should have traded him last offseason.

One week after the injury. One week!

I was in denial about it for a long time too, then I started listening to the medical people here.

    None of this helps Lamar.
Honestly and truthfully, he was my favorite Raven after Ray Lewis. He had it all: talent, drive, humility. Then somewhere, something changed. Yes, was the offense needing an overhaul? Of course. The #1's that were spent on wide receivers did not pan out. Life isn't perfect. Lamar had far more going for him as a quarterback than, let's say, Jared Goff.

It is a free country. Tweet, IG, to your heart's content. There are a lot of people who will follow Lamar wherever he goes.

This goes to the brand. You can make a lot of money, or you can make all the money. I have spent the bulk of my life working for large companies. Nuking your own good name by yourself is not the way to becoming a billionaire. But Silver, he is doing it his way!

I was okay with him doing things his way, betting on himself. Even now, if he is just waiting for that cap to rise so he can get a bit more, cool. The thing is, as mythical as the cap to some is, injury is definitely not mythical. Lamar bet on himself 2 years in a row 2 years in a row, and it did not pay off.

Piss off half your fanbase for no other reason than to be real? Fail. Marketing 101, by being real, the wallets that may have bought products he endorses may not buy. I had to get new prescription glasses, and I second-guessed myself to get Oakley simply because he endorsed them. I'd NEVER have had a second of hesitation before that stupid IG post after a playoff loss. I went with the Oakley because it was the best at the Optometrist, I might have gone with Prada, but they didn't look as good.

So sure, you can down my point of view. I have a little money to spend, much more than kids not spending money on his clothing line. Do the math; his viability as a product representative is dropping like a stone.

Roughly the Number of endorsements for Lamar + some top QBs off a google search These all seen to be within 2-3 margin of error because some of the deals are lowkey local stuff or very minor and conflicting on different sites

    Lamar Jackson: 4

    Josh Allen: 14

    Patrick Mahomes: 14

    Kyler Murray: 6

    Aaron Rodgers: 6

    Tom Brady: 10

    Russell Wilson: 26

    Joe Burrow: 4

    Kenny Pickett: 5

    Mac Jones: 5

    Tua Tagovailoa: 6

    Ryan Tannehill: 5

    Trevor Lawrence: 12

    Dak Prescott: 13

    Jalen Hurts: 9

    Daniel Jones: 2

    Justin Fields: 10

    Great post Captain.

If you compare Lamar's national endorsements to other players of his level. It's not close. Mahomes and Baker literally have dozens more commercials than he has.

Now, I know there are some people who will say "Lamar has the strong South Florida twang and he's hard to understand'. But the fact is the few commercials I've seen Lamar in he's been great. It's not about his accent, it's about his lack of professional representation. He needs an agent.

For a guy that wants to be a billionaire, his current plan clearly isn't working.

Thanks. I never thought his twang or the manner of his speaking a detriment. To me, that WAS REAL. That was part of what I loved about the guy. Shaq can be hard to understand for some people, but he is worth 450 million today. A lot of that comes from endorsement deals.

Joe Burrow, who's been to the superbowl and 2 AFC championships, who many consider the 2nd best QB in the league, only has 4 endorsement deals? He must not have an agent.

Without dollar figures attached, this isn’t that useful of a data point.
