Top 10 D (Last 22)

Cant help but think that this Eagles defense could crack the top 10 since the year 2000 depending on how well they play in the SB.

My current top 10 since year 2000 goes as follows

1. 2006 Baltimore Ravens (yeah I said it)
2. 2000 Baltimore Ravens
3. 2002 TB Bucs
4. 2013 Seattle Seahawks
5. 2015 Denver Broncos
6. 2001 NE Patriots
7. 2003 NE Patriots
8. 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers
9. 2004 NE Patriots
10. 2008 Baltimore Ravens

There’s definitely an argument that the 2006 defense was better than the 2000 defense.

And the 06 D had Ed Reed.

Two things - the 2008 Steelers belong somewhere on that lost. And there's no way 2000 isn't ranked above 2006.

As much as I hate to admit it, the 2008 Steelers were better than the 2008 Ravens. Even statistically, I think they were better across the board. They should be on this list AND be higher than 10th

Eagles gave up over 2,000 rushing yards. How did those other teams do?

Im taking a defense with Ed Reed over a defense that doesn't have Ed Reed ANY DAY

Far better im sure.

The bread and butter of this Eagles defense has been turnovers and pass rush.

No. That wasnt exactly prime Ray and Ed.

And Ed Reed in 2008 had 9 interceptions. I don't have a problem with anybody putting Pittsburgh first though.

2006 also had Suggs and Ngata. Thats like our four horsemen of all time Ravens defense

Ray, Ed, Suggs, Ngata.

Ngata had a 60 yard INT return that year

I agree. I doubt there was a better defense than those 2000/01 Ravens. Just ask the New York/New Jersey Giants. If not for a kick-return, they would have had a Super Bowl shut out... Bc
