Up until the 60s? You mean prior to non white people and women having civil rights? That was the golden era for everyone?

Gonna make a controversial statement that pre civil rights American was not the bastion of freedom for everyone lol

Emmett Till was lynched in 1955

What happened in the 60s that changed things, made you disagree??

When people talk about the "golden era" it's more about American manufacturing and enterprise. The decades following WW2 when America actually made things IN America. When people could work at 1 company for their entire career and retire and not worry about going to the poor house in the process. It was the time when you could have a one income household and still afford nice things like a new car and family vacations.

Clearly, on a social level, things were not peachy for everyone.

Ideally, we can get back to the "Golden Era" of American enterprise while still maintaining current equality. Both things can exist.

I'll add to that the end of American Non interventionalism and becoming the world police and fighting proxy wars and coups and all types of other nonsense that began after WW2

Well, for starters, to suggest American interventionalism wasn't a thing before WW2 is historically inaccurate. For example, the League of Nations was formed after WW1 in 1920 by Woodrow Wilson.

So, the post WW2 American interventionalism was a direct result of being attacked by Japan, the Holocaust, the creation of NATO, and the evolution of the League of Nations to the United Nations.

I'm not in favor of interventionalism at all. Frankly, I'd probably be categorized as an isolationist because I'd much rather use the military and/or it's budget to address problems here, at home.

But I understand why we must keep an eye on things worldwide - particularly now with the global economy being so interconnected.

Proof that Climate Change IS a hoax and the New York Times is a pitiful sad joke. They have no shame or short term memory. "More Snow? Less Snow? No Snow? Climate Change Does It All According to NYT" all reported in the last 2 weeks. Don't we call that "covering your ass?"
