    OC Interviews thread

Figured I'd start one and we can all give opinions on the guys we reportedly are interviewing...plus it will be nice to have a non Lamar thread or one where the sky is falling because the team won't entertain changing anything.

First up (at least that's out in the public) is Zac Robinson who is the Rams QB coach and passing game coordinator.

This dude was Dez Bryant's QB at Okie St where they threw the ball a ton and obviously coming from the McVay tree, I like it.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Good start. Zac Robinson is in that Kevin O'Connell, Zack Taylor, Sean McVay tree.

McVay also coached under Mike and Kyle Shanahan.

Robinson would be a nice get. It's worth bearing in mind, though; Robinson is a hot name on the coaching market right now. If he comes here and kills it, he will get HC offers in 2024.

The Bleacher Report article mentions Shawn Jefferson. I'm not familiar with him, but I can't poo-poo the idea of getting someone in here that knows how to coach and develop receivers.

He's not coming here unless Lamar re-sign (doubtful). Frank Reich is the guy I want. A former head coach who was a qb and a great offensive coordinator. Has more experience than Robinson.

Jets are interviewing Frank Reich for OC which would lead me to believe he's open to the position.

Whether or not we get Robinson I love that we are targeting a young, ascending coach from an excellent coaching tree with no apparent Harbaugh connections. Indicates that their priorities might be in line with mine which would be a very pleasant surprise lol

I agree, get some young fresh ideas in here, it's badly needed.
