Re: Rebuilt WIDE RECEIVER room, wwyd?
Regarding Hopkins - I don't watch a lot of other teams but looking at his stats, his production has fallen off of a cliff the last 2 years. Other than name recognition and past performance, what is the infatuation? I get buying low on a guy after 1 down year, but paying top dollar for an older guy after TWO down years? Help me understand.

Re: Rebuilt WIDE RECEIVER room, wwyd?
We’re going to be last in line for a pretty crappy FA group.
Maybe we trade for someone who has no choice but to suit up here, but we’ll be pressed against the cap with no Lamar extension.
That leaves the draft where we’re missing a 2nd round pick. Which is where the best value for WR appears to be right at the moment.
Yeah, I’m not expecting a whole lot in the way of improvement.

Re: Rebuilt WIDE RECEIVER room, wwyd?
He was hurt in 2021 and suspended for 6 games in 2022, but still put up 64/717/3, which would’ve still been like 98/1100/5 over a full season. And he’ll, he was without Kyler for like the last 5 or 7 games too. He still is very good.

Rebuilt WIDE RECEIVER room, wwyd?
Their en still has 2 years and around $30m remaining but is a trade candidate.
Lockett- really isn’t, at least another year before that is a reasonable contract to walk away from.
I think Chris Godwin and Keenan Allen are my two favorite names. The free agency class is very mediocre, but cap space is so limited around the league we may be able to get a relatively cheap trade compensation package from teams needing to shed contracts.
Get one of those two, and draft a guy day 2. Ideally Zay Flowers but I’m starting to see him going in round 1.

Re: Rebuilt WIDE RECEIVER room, wwyd?
Who's the QB?
Anyway:
1) Allen Lazard because he has large catch radius so much so that he's open when covered, and because he knows what a great WR and great QB look like.
2) Jakobi Meyers because he knows how to find the soft spot that makes him an easy target.
3) Bateman
4) Duvernay
5) Early round WR
6) Priority FA/Practice Squad elevation/Surprise camp cut -- each possessing ST acumen.

Davis or Chark are the guys to target. Two players coming off broken relationships (essentially) with their teams, and probably won't be very expensive. Both still fairly young, both big physical targets on the outside.
