Interesting article on Greg Roman - from 2013

This is a long read but it sure is an interesting one. History definitely seems to be repeating itself because you can pretty much change "49ers" to "Ravens" in the article and it is almost exactly the same as today. I found the part about plays taking forever to be given to the qb enlightening. With the 49'ers it was Jim Harbaugh who relayed the plays from Roman to the qb.

The [team] already have to make up for a lack of talent and scheme-related issues; they don’t need this too. And when they’re not calling timeouts or they’ve run out, it’s been resulting in false start and delay of game penalties because the players are uncomfortable or not settled.

Without a very stable corps of wide receivers, the [team] have been relying on their 22 personnel more this year, which always includes two tight ends and two running backs, and that’s where their depth lies.

The kicker is, even though the [team]
have relied so heavily on this personnel grouping, Roman is not taking full advantage of the talent on the roster in an attempt to put a slow to the bleeding on this regression they’re experiencing. No visible attempt has been made to incorporate new players or add wrinkles to the offense—it’s just been rinse and repeat.

Running backs LaMichael James (Justice Hill) and Kendall Hunter (Kenyan Drake) as well as tight end Vance McDonald (Isaiah Likely), are each talented players who have not had not any sort of defined role this season in terms of getting their hands on the ball and making plays. It’s been very limited as the 49ers (Ravens) try to force-feed bad wide receivers.

Didn't Tony post this exact same article a day earlier?

OMG we keep beating a dead horse. Let's get over it. Just remove the dead horse and move on.

The Ravens are forcefeeding bad receivers? Really? You are going to try and claim that with a straight face? Really?
