Pretty gross first drive for the defense

Re: OT: 2022 Maryland Football
Hard to figure why DBs are playing 10 yds deep on fourth and five. As I said earlier, the offense is good...the defense is a work in progress.
If anyone is looking for the game on TV, it ain't there, but it is online... https://watchstadium.com/live/maryland-at-charlotte/
I hope everyone had the over."That's what."

Survived upset Saturday. Will know a lot more about them after SMU.

Re: OT: 2022 Maryland Football
That was a terrific game. These days, SMU has arguably the best college football program in Texas. As a Terps fan, I saw way too many penalties again. But I also thought I witnessed some team character building. The Terps overcame mistakes and took over the fourth quarter in all three facets. They deserved that win.

Re: OT: 2022 Maryland Football
Obviously, the 3-0 Terps face a very big test at #4 Michigan on Saturday. Let’s hope it doesn’t go the same way as last year’s 4-0 team went against Iowa. Not only were they totally embarrassed at home but QB Tagovailoa also lost his favorite target WR Dontay Demus for the season. They were never a threat to surprise anyone for the rest of 2021.
Realistically, the most important accomplishment for the Terps in Ann Arbor is to survive the game both physically and emotionally. It would make a world of difference IF they could give them a contest. Of course, if that happens, a loss would be extremely disappointing. In an case, let’s hope the Terps’ capacity to pull off an upset remains intact moving forward.

Re: OT: 2022 Maryland Football
I fully expect Maryland to get spanked by Michigan. They can't compete with the big boys.

Re: OT: 2022 Maryland Football
Based on the points spread (17) and over/under (65), the odds makers say:
MD 24
MI 41
Hard to imagine Terps winning the line-of-scrimmage or time-of-possession battles. But the turnovers battle is something else. If the Terps defense can show up (gang tackle) and force turnovers, if could make it very interesting.Last edited by Corvus Corax; 09-23-2022 at 12:16 PM.
