Maybe they will have interest in a Powers trade?

It has been very curious how they have used Powers. Supposedly he is the "favorite/lead" in the LG competition, but he hasn't played a snap there in a preseason game. He's been starting at RG, then moving to C. Perhaps they are trying to showcase his versatility (especially ability to play C) to other teams. Pure speculation of course.

Effective 4 PM ET today, NFL teams can move a player from Active/PUP to Reserve/PUP.

That player no longer counts on the 80-man active roster list, but must miss the first 4 games of the regular season.

In previous years, players on Reserve/PUP missed at least 6 games.

It will be interesting to see if the Ravens immediately put Gus on this list before cutdown to 80 or if they wait...I would think if they don't put him on it, it's a sign they think he could be ready week 2 or 3.

Also, hopefully Bowser and Stanley don't go on it, meaning there's hope for them early in the season.

Smith was just getting back last year after missing most of 2020. It's always different injuries too. Tyron Smith started so young that he's only 31 going into his 11th season. With all these injuries I do wonder if he'll just retire soon before he suffers permanent issues

Now they are saying that Smith also has an avulsion fracture in his knee just like Mekhi Beckton of the Jets. That's when the ligament pulls away the bone to the point of fracture. If that's true then Tyron Smith isn't coming back this year.

Yup sounds like Smith is done for the year and possibly for a career. Cowboys shuffling guys around but clearly looking to bring someone in (watching cuts)

Good Lord. How could that much torque be generated during non contact?
