Re: Ravens drop to 22nd in under 25 talent

Speaks to how dreadful we have been at drafting recently. Only way to go is up which is nice.

Grumpy old man. You have to assume, given his moniker honoring a mostly forgotten safety who played for the Colts during the latter half of the Unitas era.

Same. Look at the the past two Super Bowl champions. Hardly made up of "under 25 talent".

    It's a Football Outsiders piece for ESPN+.

FO made that point in their link to the piece. Said the Rams are last by this metric, and are probably just fine with it.

What's magic about 25? If you look at under 26, you'd add Lamar, Marcus Williams, Mekari, Proche, and Powers.

Look at under 27 and you can add in Hump and Andrews.

This is not an old team. Picking some random arbitrary age cutoff makes no sense. If you want to make this slightly meaningful, do "guys on their rookie contract" or something. But that might require reading.

That is pretty much what it does. Most come into the league at 20-21 so the average contract of 4 years would take them to that age unless they were older coming out of college.
