They can interview whoever they want but the focus is going to be on Lamar Jackson. There is no way it can't be. Lamar sure knows how to get create hype and get headlines.

Yup - position battles also. I think the Oline may have too many tackles for a change - good problem to have.

Will Lamar Jackson, who has stayed away from the team facility throughout the offseason, show up as head coach John Harbaugh expects? And if he does, how will he perform and what will he say about his contract situation?
Jackson’s status and mindset are easily the biggest storylines surrounding the team. Yet, as long as Jackson reports and settles in, quarterback is one of the few positions where the Ravens don’t have roster questions over the next few months. Tyler Huntley is solidified as Jackson’s backup, and veteran Brett Hundley and undrafted rookie Anthony Brown are viewed more as camp arms who will log snaps in the preseason.
Pretty much everywhere else, there is some level of uncertainty, either about who will start or who will occupy key reserve roles. No decisions will be made at this week’s mandatory minicamp, which starts Tuesday and is scheduled to run through Thursday. Still, the practices will serve as a precursor to the position competitions that will heat up during training camp and give the team’s decision-makers a better idea of what they have and what they need.

Absolutely, just wish there were more LTs on the roster though. But, even if Stanley can't go having Moses at LT and James at RT would be better then what happned last year.
"Those corners...and those safeties are going to be one-on-one... and we got to make them pay for it," Harbs

"I think he’d be[Lamar] the greatest player in the history of the game,” Young said

this probably deserves a thread of it's own... someone will be odd man out.

saw this on twitter, pretty decent overview: https://flockthenorth.com/2022/06/14...-things-watch/

As it appears from a logical standpoint, the starting five should be Stanley-Mekari-Linderbaum-Zeitler-Moses as long as all five are healthy. Cleveland, Phillips, Colon, and Powers will compete for backup spots along with the inside OL spots, while James and Faalele compete for swing tackle duties. Harbaugh tends to throw us a curve ball and trot out a somewhat illogical starting five on occasion. The camp battles for the open left guard and backup roles will be interesting.

Maybe. James hasn't played since 2019 and he only played 3 games that year. The reason he is so cheap is because he's a total question mark. It's not like he's ever been that good either. James has had 3 solid seasons since he was a 1st round pick in 2014. He might not be better than AV. He might not even be able to play in the NFL anymore. That's what they are trying to figure out before the season

I think Phillips is going to take the LG job, Mekari will be the 6th man.
the reason: in case of injury it is easier to make a single change in the line than 2, and we know that Mekarib can play in all positions

I'd like to see Cleveland win the LG job, then shift to RG (his experienced position) when Zeitler retires (or is let go). Yes, Mekari is a valuable piece as #6 .. Bc

With all the hubbub with Lamar and rookies it seems like Marcus Williams isn’t getting too much hype. It’s not often you see a top dollar FA just entering his prime from the Ravens.

Agreed. He’s going to be one of our best players for sure.

I can tell you one position that will not be cut from the current depth and that is OT unless its injury related.

With how bad that position was last year its safe to say who ever healthy is making this roster.

We have one hell of a group of safetys. It will surprising to see how they keep them all and how deep the TE group now is.

Scrolling throught Twitter yesterday seeing Kyle Fuller in his uniform I almost forgot they even just got him.

Their rookie class has been so much the talk Fuller and Williams have not gotten much hype.

This safety group is going to be NASTY. The back end of the defense is going to be really really good.
