OT: Orioles Opening Day
I know there is a baseball thread. However I just wanted to start this thread and see who is going to opening day. Maybe we could meet and talk beforehand. If not it’s cool but I’ll be there lower level!

Re: OT: Orioles Opening Day
I had my doubts about Kremer. He has worked hard to get to being the ace of the Orioles. Goes to show to believe in yourself and never give up.
The wife put her hand on her knee for healing and the husband on his crotch.

Re: OT: Orioles Opening Day
That rain delay last night was ridiculous. I could’ve probably taken the tarp off the field by myself. After the tarp was removed they waited another 30-40 minutes to start the game. Was it to sell more concessions?

Re: OT: Orioles Opening Day
Anyone see the story that the Lerners plan on selling the Nationals?
I guess they have given up in their fight to force the Orioles to let them out of their MASN deal."That's what."

Yup, when the old man passed the team to his son I remember him saying they would never sell. went and found the quote.
“We will never sell the Nationals,” Mark Lerner said in 2018 after he taking on his current role. “That’s what we’ve worked to get all those years. We think we do a pretty good job of it. There’s no intention of this family—certainly while I’m alive and my sisters and brothers-in-law are alive—nobody’s going to sell this team.”

Re: OT: Orioles Opening Day
Look, what do I know? There could be any number of reasons they want to sell. But I know they've been fighting Angelos, who owns MASN (people mistakenly say the Orioles own MASN). I think they thought they could just renege on the contract they signed with the Orioles that allowed them to pry the DC market away from the Orioles, who owned they territorial rights before they bargained it away in exchange for a favorable cut of MASN profits. (Can you tell that their arrogance in thinking they could demand the deal to be rewritten pisses me off?)
Anyway, my hunch is the family was banking on a new MASN deal to make them even richer for years to come...or to have a new deal in place that would make the franchise much more valuable so they could flip it for a huge sum. IOW, the 2018 comments are BS.
The fact they are selling now tells me they've concluded they can't beat Angelos in court."That's what."
