That's how Wink comes off to me as well. I think Wink is going to continue with his exotic blitz packages even if he doesn't have the players to run it effectively.

    I think you’re right.

Xavier McKinney's impression of Wink Martindale's defense? "So much aggression." Says they want to force mistakes by the offense.

I think Wink unique aggressiveness led to mistakes by the defense too often

His first two seasons he had the benefit of a physical sustaining offense that was scoring a ton of points and forcing the opponents to feel like they had to score every possession. That played right into the hands of the aggressive D. But last year with the injuries, the offense wasn't dominating teams and dictating games. That's a big part of it as well.

    It worked until it didn't

They should ask him his thoughts about sacks

    Spot on.

Which doesn't bode well for the Giants unless their offense really surprises people this season.

Former #Ravens defensive coordinator Wink Martindale was asked if he learned any lessons from the 2021 season in Baltimore:

"Don't go to DoorDash to find a backup corner."

    Classic Wink.
You go to DoorDash to order food you feel like eating. I don't understand what he means by this.

He’s saying we had doordash workers out there playing Cb.

Except his defense was built with DB depth. Did he expect them to magically bring him world class man coverage corners after they got down to the last position on the depth chart?

Wink Martindale is a relic of a bygone era.

The NFL of today is all about generating pressure without blitzing.

It could mean one of two things - a shot at the FO for not bringing quality players, or (b) a mea culpa that he didn't do much to help out inferior talent.

Harbs: Remember we got 5th string corners at best out there.
