Interesting video featuring an interview with Aiden Hutchinson regarding Mike MacDonald where he specifically talks about how the Ravens culture on defense bleeds into Michigan via Coach MacDonald.

Re: Predict the next defensive coordinator.
Are the Ravens just bringing in a similar scheme as Wink with all the blitzing and two gap defensive tackles? I was getting excited thinking about them moving to a 4 man front that actually generates pressure and plays Cover 3.

Re: Predict the next defensive coordinator.
The Ravens have been using a hybrid system for years, since 2012 for sure, I don't remember before, it's not owned by wink, it differs in small things, more vanilla, more aggressive, but the base is always hybrid, that's why DC have almost always been internal.

Don't know much of anything about this guy but hopefully he doesn't think sacks are overrated

Re: Predict the next defensive coordinator.
McDonald just makes a lot of sense. Here's to a big rebound in 2022.
"I believe the state of Football has made defenders timid... we know the rules are implemented to help the NFL offense score points because people tend to like when touchdowns are scored... You'll watch a great game and the game will be 10-10 going into the fourth quarter and people will be like, 'I'm bored'."

Re: Predict the next defensive coordinator.
Wasn't he also in the running when Wink won the job?
