Re: Ravens #1 seed in AFC with a win tonight
If the Ravens lose the Patriots will be the #1 seed in the AFC. I don't think anyone outside of their fans wants that.

I hope we crowd the box.
Commit to stopping the run with numbers.
I would put the heavy lifting on defense on the secondary (banged up and all) vs the Browns passing game.
I don’t think an injured Bake and banged up WR corps can beat our secondary consistently enough to be the reason they win.
The Ravens run game on the other hand is one of the best in the NFL.

Re: Ravens #1 seed in AFC with a win tonight
And if we don't win, we won't even be in first place in the division. I hate the "this is a really big game" hyperbole, because there is a lot of football to be played. But this is a REALLY. BIG. GAME. If we can't take care of the Browns at home tonight, it's hard to imagine being able to beat them in two weeks at their place after their bye. 0-3 vs Ohio would be a huge hole to crawl out of.
But if we win tonight... excuse me ... WHEN we win tonight, then it's what Midtown said: #1 seed baby!"Chin up, chest out."

Re: Ravens #1 seed in AFC with a win tonight
1. Baltimore (8-3)
2. New England (8-4)
3. Tennessee (8-4)
4. Kansas City (7-4)
5. Cincinnati (7-4)
6. Buffalo (7-4)
7. Los Angeles (6-5)
-----
8. Denver (6-5)
9. Las Vegas (6-5)
10. Indianapolis (6-6)
11. Cleveland (6-6)
12. Pittsburgh (5-5-1)
13. Miami (5-7)
-----
14. New York (3-8)
15. Houston (2-9)
16. Jacksonville (2-9)
Ravens are the one seed, and two games out of ninth.
The Dolphins started the season 1-7 and after rifling off four straight they're right in the mix.
There are no great teams this year. Just above average ones. Home field may mean quite a bit, but who knows with this season?

Re: Ravens #1 seed in AFC with a win tonight
Week 13 - AFC
NYG (4-7) @ MIA (5-7)
IND (6-6) @ HOU (2-9)
LAC (6-5) @ CIN (7-4)
BAL (8-3) @ PIT (5-5-1)
DEN (6-5) @ KC (7-4)
NE (8-4) @ BUF (7-4)
Miami and Indy should win the early Sunday games, and if they lose it will be a big blow to their respective playoff hopes.
Starting with the 4 PM games, you've got four match ups between playoff contenders, three of which are huge division games. If the Ravens can beat the Steelers on the road, they'll gain a game on three of their competitors no matter who else wins or loses.
Again, IF they beat the Steelers, I believe they can afford to drop the game at Cleveland.
The Browns and Titans are on a bye next week.

New England quietly 8-4. Mac Jones is the real deal?
