Re: Marlon Humphrey is NOT a shutdown corner
Marshon Lattimore is NOT a shutdown corner.
This is how this works, right?

Re: Marlon Humphrey is NOT a shutdown corner
I don't believe Deion would be shutting down his assignment every week if he were playing today. Just an opinion however, because a lot of advanced stats don't go back to his peak seasons.
The last guy you could maybe categorize as "shut down" was Darrelle Revis, 2009-2011. But I'd have to take a deeper dive to really have a confident opinion.
Through seven weeks you can probably call Trevon Diggs "shut down". He's having a crazy start to the season. Still a long way to go.

Re: Marlon Humphrey is NOT a shutdown corner
Did the Op ever back up his claim outside of his "eye" test. Seems he's no where to be found now. Guess he's in hiding waiting to pounce at Marlon's next mistake.

Re: Marlon Humphrey is NOT a shutdown corner
The last shutdown corners were Revis and Sherman IMO until ~2012/2013. There are some people who think 2018 DPOY Stephon Gilmore qualifies although I don’t really agree. Same goes for Ramsey.

Re: Marlon Humphrey is NOT a shutdown corner
That TD wasn't really all on Marlon. Clark blew the deep coverage.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Re: Marlon Humphrey is NOT a shutdown corner
This is all the proof anyone one need to understand you have no idea what you’re looking at. I played college ball and that is nowhere in the same league as what we watch every Sunday. Even I can tell is Humphrey was guarding the shallow to mid out and they were supposed to transfer coverage to the “single high” as Elliot was on the line. Marlon did his job as an out wasn’t caught it was the safety screwed up. Just admit you don’t know what you’re seeing and try to learn.
