Yeah that doesnt sound like a Ravens move but the league needs to have some kind of rules for this scenario.

This guy could set a chain reaction with other players where it could effect them like two years ago Chiefs getting SUggs and we all expected he would come here.

If a player fails to report he should be suspended until some kind of settlement to the team he screws over gets comepensation or something financial or draft pick etc....

That sounds odd, didn't they sign Carpenter to the PS? Maybe not, but if they did, why wouldn't they just keep him on the PS until call-ups later in the week?

Jeff Zrebiec tweeted yesterday James Carpenter was one of their 4 protections

So I don't know if the situation with Knight is over yet

The PFT article seems off somehow

There has to be a protective mechanism that teams can use to prevent guys from not showing up and playing for someone else

Hard to buy that because " Knight attended Noblesville High School in Noblesville, Indiana. He was a two-time All-conference selection. As a senior, he received Associated Press Class 6A All-state honors. He originally committed to Purdue University to play college football, but changed his commitment to Indiana University. " So he's an Indiana guy, but went to Texas after the Cowboys signed him.

And here I thought these labor issues only applied to regular businesses. I've had a bunch of people not show up to interviews and others quit after just getting hired. It looks like the NFL is seeing similar things
