Had the game on tape delay and just finished. Great win. My only complaint besides the refs jobbing us on the 2 pt conversion was Roman trying to pass on the last 2 pt play when we were running all over them.

Shout out to Harbs and Roman.

    They are great coaches.

I have my stylistic gripes with imho Roman's suboptimal usage of Lamar and lack of development of the passing game BUT they deserves credit for tonight.
"Those corners...and those safeties are going to be one-on-one... and we got to make them pay for it," Harbs

"I think he’d be[Lamar] the greatest player in the history of the game,” Young said

No one thinks Lamar is more the TRUTH than I do; but even I think there's a little tiny bit o' something to this.

I think last year, approx the first ~third of the season, his head was all messed up. Say from about the Chiefs game to about the Steelers game. It looked like he was trying to "justify" the MVP award – I've described it before as like he was trying to score a 10-pt play on every snap. Not playing within the structure or whatever of the offense.

That guy Adam Dedeaux who Lamar worked with offseason – the guy from Tom House's school – one of the things they talk about is "the four legs of the performance table". They are:

    mechanics
    conditioning?
    nutrition
    mental/emotional

I'm not sure about "conditioning", but the other three are right. So if Lamar is doing the full course with them, that includes some "mental/emotional". He doesn't need much (if any at all). Just a very little bit of stay patient, stick to the plays that are there, and get to the next snap would get Lamar to 100%.

Same. Early in the week I caught myself thinking that the stage was perfectly set for a circle-the-wagons, band-together, toughness & resilience statement. The kind of thing we've seen from Harbaugh teams, time to time.

But come Saturday I was starting to be a little beaten down by "common sense". By gametime I was starting to dread it.
