Re: At Least 12 US Troops Dead in Kabul Attack
Good for your son. Reminds me of me at that age and hopefully this is Joe Biden shaping an entire new generation of voters.
Joe Biden was a formative figure in how I turned out politically. I was not political at all until my mid 20's. I remember the bad things that happened during Carter as a kid. Gas lines, the Hostage Crisis, the failed rescue mission... I don't think that moved the needle for me politically though. I also remember seeing Reagan as a young man but was still not political. I recognized he was an actor and kind of an older guy and did not take him too seriously with his pedigree but was never embarrassed by him. It's possible he influenced me but I don't recall ever thinking "hey i identify with his conservative message!". Nothing like that.
But Joe.
I distinctly remember watching that buffoons first failed presidential bid where he lifted that one guys speech word for word and got shot down hard by pundits on the left and right. The hugely influential thing for me though was watching him in the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings. I was so repulsed by how goofy and weird he was and by the grandstanding and blustery nonsense that came out of his mouth. So damn cheesy. That is the first time I think I remember thinking I knew I could not be a Democrat if that idiot was one of their standard bearers.
I still can't believe that idiot is our president.

Anyone feel safer today than they did 1 year ago? The terrorist attacks will soon be coming to a neighborhood near you. How much longer will the Democrats polish this turd before they scatter like rats on the Titanic? But as always, just wear your damn mask.

Re: At Least 12 US Troops Dead in Kabul Attack
Exactly. Inflation with an economic collapse inevitable and more spending coming, no more energy independence, violent crime at a peak and rising across the country, CRT flooding into school curriculums and causing contention (rightfully so) in our schools, Antifa still Causing violent confrontations, our government becoming increasingly more authoritarian, border crisis, and now this disaster which will embolden the terrorists and our enemies.
Liberals Tell me again how Biden was going to be good for our Country. Tell me again how the adults were in charge again and things would get back to "normal". Tell me again how empathetic and calming a Biden presidency would be.
This should be the day when the average sane moderate Democrat turns their back on the Democrat party, the democrats should not survive this politically but thats wishful thinking and there are too many nut jobs that wont miss a beat with their insanity

Anybody have any confidence in this Administration fully vetting these Afgans they are bringing into this country after seeing the catch and distribute policies at the Southern border? Hell no. Some of the participating terrorist were released from GITMO years ago by the Obama/Biden administration.

Re: At Least 12 US Troops Dead in Kabul Attack
From the brain-dead so-called leader of our Government:
The president addressed those responsible for the attack saying, “We will not forgive, we will not forget, we will hunt you down and make you pay.”
Where are the fucking liberals today? Cowering? Hiding behind their keyboards? Didn't like Trumps tweets, hydroxychloroquine cure for Covid, pettiness, etc? How do you now like having the worst President in US History, at the helm for 3+ more years? By comparison he makes Carter appears to be a brilliant leader, Obama to be fiscally prudent, Dubya to be intelligent.
I had the "pleasure" of a long one-on-one "dialog" with Joe in the mid-90s at the Wilmington Amtrak station and again on the train to BWI station. I told my wife and my moronic lefty leaning son that I had spent nearly an hour with a neurotic, out-of-control, bizarre maniac. He raged about Newt Gingrich. His face turned red and he was literally shouting at me during his diatribe. I was frankly astonished to see him get through his vetting as Veep. Despite the obvious lack of mental faculties when seeing him stumble on words ever since regaining the national spotlight, the Cabal which runs the Socialist/Democratic Party propped him up, with full media cooperation, into the Presidency against a weak incumbent.
Impeachment should be next.
Problem is: Socialist/Democrats don't want the stain of impeaching one of their own, and Republicans are licking their chops at he prospect of Biden staying in office for a stomping of any Democrat in the next Presidential election (and the no-brainer sweep of both houses of Congress next year). In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Not sure, but I think I read earlier that Trump was going to be on Hannity tonight. I don't watch much on Fox, or really much tv at all, but I may tune in to that or record it.

Re: At Least 12 US Troops Dead in Kabul Attack
I texted with a friend of mine today who was a semi moderate liberal prior to Trump and then just went insane with TDS. He texted me how pissed he was about Afghanistan. I texted back that Biden is the worst President in US history already. His reply was that he disagrees 1000% and except for Afghanistan he has loved everything. He told me not to give him examples of how he was wrong and that we will have to agree to disagree.
I swear people have lost their minds. I heard a psychiatrist somewhere say that the world is suffering from mass psychosis because the human brain was never designed to process this much information. The cable news and Internet overload people with news from around the world and cause people to believe all these things are happening in their little ecosystem, and most can't handle it.
It makes a lot of sense if you think about it.
