A large majority of Div 1 Football schools use “male cheerleaders”. Those guys mostly spot and hold the girls for lifts and things. Same with our guys. They do the throwing when you have aerial stunts.

Pretty normal. A lot of the “male cheerleaders” are former football players who couldn’t make the team or had an injury

I college you see it everywhere for the reasons you described. In NFL cheerleaders aren't doing all those stunts. It's a lot more dance and a lot less sport. That's why NFL teams in general don't need male cheerleaders but college teams certainly do.

Yes. I think the Ravens may be the only ones with men.

Big time respect. There are some incredible athletes in cheer. My kids were never into it but when you have a son involved in football you're going to see the cheerleaders. Some of these kids are up there with the football players.

Daughter was a “flyer”. She broke all kinds of bones growing up from being dropped. But , much like her mom, she’s fearless and kept at it. She got a 50% scholarship to Robert Morris for cheer.

She loved being the dangerous one. Lots of girls were too scared to try. When she got to college they had 3 guys on the team. They threw her ass like a rag doll. Lol. But …she knew they’d catch her also.

In my time at Penn State, ALL the cheerleaders were male.
