There are vaccines. They're up to 95% effective. Probably 99% of players can get one without risk. There's no reason to bend over backwards for teams that don't keep things under control.

Quite a few teams are over 85% vacc’d.

The league is definitely using both the carrot and stick. Lots of at stake

They also say in the note that neither team gets paid if a game is cancelled. Makes sense. If a player doesn't want to get vaccinated then it's on him to be responsible and take precautions. Nobody is going to want to be "that guy" that causes two teams worth of players to not get paid. No problem with this.

Wonder where our guys stand? I know many were infected last year so I wonder if there are holdouts

    1. IF it can't be rescheduled.

    2. What about an outbreak among vaccinated players? Supposedly all of the TX legislature was vaccinated and they just had an outbreak among those that left the state together.

    3. What about players that had COVID last year? From what my doctor tells me, as somebody who has had it, there is no need to get the vaccine.

Trying to shame unvaccinated players with this may work to a degree, but this further puts the efficacy of the vaccine into question, and last time it was the Ravens assistant strength and conditioning coach or whoever who made the mess. Not a player.

I couldn't find an exact percentage, but there's only two teams at the moment with under 50% vaccinated (neither of which are the Ravens) and according to Harbs, the vaccination rate for the team is well over 50%

85% ??? why not 100% ??? The wife and I got both our shots a very long time ago, as soon as we could. Do you mean that pro athletes, who know they're going to be in locker rooms and on the field with many of their ilk, aren't ???
