Now THAT would make sense. If they are betting on hyperinflation then assets are what you want.

Of course, every nation that has ever had the kind of hyperinflation we are set up for has had its government collapse. The rich might not ride that out. A pissed off populace with a weak government might install a new government that will take everything from the rich.

If you make your currency worthless your government goes with it.

If you ever worried about Nazi-like people getting in control then this should be your concern because that is exactly how the Nazis got control.

We've been teaching our kids about the holocaust recently, so yeah it's been a concern now more than ever.

History may not repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme.

The other thing you're forgetting is that you don't have to worry about the government not bailing you out of you've placed all your cronies in the government to begin with.

It's absolutely incredible how the average working class person must mitigate risk in their lives at every turn in order to keep their family afloat, while on the other end of the spectrum, these investment bankers can literally afford to bet that companies will fail, and then when it doesn't go their way, they just change the rules in order for them to win anyway, or at least draw even.....it's incredible how CEO'S can make BANK during market failure while so many still haven't recovered from foreclosure in 2008.

This country is so sick in so many ways. Free market capitalism needs to go the way of the dinosaur. This libertarian wet dream of deregulated markets/everything makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Ha. You think capitalism is the problem? Even my 11th grader understand decoy better than you. Capitalism had nothing to do with the 2008 collapse. It was affirmative action that caused the crash
