Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
You are correct in what you are sayingbut I think a way to help solve this is to set a standard pay number(ludicrous example $100) per player and then also let them get paid on their own, like off of jersey sales or deals with a company if you follow the school is not paying except for the standard pay number across the NCAA

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
There's a case in Connecticut....I believe that what the state has done is to eliminate the blurred lines of gender based competition, to just have everyone compete against each other. There is a "Trans" athlete suing the state because now woman have absolutely no chance at winning any of the competitions. Again.........for every action there is a reaction. Most are unintended. Woman have less of a chance to win scholarships etc.

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
What are you talking about????? I literally only said that if college football never desegregated, it wouldn't generate anywhere even remotely close to what it does.
Why are you putting words in my mouth. That's racist to insinuate that bro.

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
Why is it that no one has an issue with free market capitalism until it comes to collegiate sports. Now everyone all of a sudden turns into a socialist and demands that those at the top give up what they're worth to pay for those at the bottom.
It's veryyyyyyyy interesting.....

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
How do you know their worth? If you want them to be paid start a minor league like every other sport. I mean you really think they're good enough to play in the NFL straight out of high school. Therefore they are apprentices cuz they have to learn their craft. Universities are a learning system that gives out scholarships. You're still learning in football like you are in science, mathmatics, whatever. What you should be doing is look at the oppurtunities/doors that have been opened but yet it's systemically racist. What a maroon!

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
I think you would be correct to say some things can be managed differently and seen as more fair. But it also seems like a bad move going straight to pay the players. Comparing it to socialism when applied to 4 year college sports that type of thinking shows positive results like funding for less popular sports and women being able to compete. Both could disappear without these restrictions.
It would be nice to compensate players somehow but it's a path they've known their odds of accomplishing and what leads up to the payoff. If we're mad about the race of who plays these sports I would ask why are so many choosing to pursue this difficult path?

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
The players are already paid by a scholarship to attend college. What will change is the money made off the players while there. Jersey sales, t shirts, etc. Players will be allowed to get side sponsorship deals. The next complaint will come as the star players are getting extra money the rest of the team gets nothing. Unless they can figure a way to divide it up.
Football & basketball teams bring in the money to support the rest of the sports budget. Taking money from them will eliminate some sports teams.

Re: 3 Cheers for Brett Kavanaugh
No, it absolutely does matter. Sorry, but both you and bandaid dodge these questions all the time because they completely expose your hypocrisy and CRT views.
The reason you wont answer it is two-fold One, it proves that blacks have more opportunity in this country than any other in the world. This would not be possible in an institutionally racist system.
Two, it exposes your own racist and anti white views, while also exposing the myth of institutional racism benefiting whites.
Its clear that Bandaid believes that blacks are better athletes than whites, especially when it comes to football and basketball. He said those sports would be unwatchable if the majority of players were white. If black males, at 6% of the population, can dominate an industry because bandaid and I assume others just think they are better and more dominant, it should hold true that there should be industries where whites are vastly overrepresented and dominant, and it should never be blamed on racism. Let's say Doctors and Lawyers, for example.
