I am sure you have seen people claim that the “Cap isn’t real”.
This is proof that it is. They will be lucky to win 3-4 games at this point.

The Saints have lost from last season's team:

    QB Drew Brees
    WR Emmanuel Sanders
    WR Bennie Fowler
    TE Jared Cook
    TE Josh Hill
    FB Michael Burton
    OL Nick Easton
    DT Malcolm Brown
    DT Sheldon Rankins
    DE Trey Hendrickson
    LB Kwon Alexander
    LB Alex Anzalone
    LB Craig Robertson
    CB Janoris Jenkins
    DB Justin Hardee
    S DJ Swearinger
    P Thomas Morstead

Aside from the draft and UDFA, the team added:

    TE Nick Vannett
    FB Alex Armah
    DT Albert Huggins
    DE Tanoh Kpassagnon

So.... yeah. But I think they can cobble together 7-ish wins. They still have Alvin Kamara and an excellent offensive line.

Kamara's looking like all they've got left right now in terms of offensive weaponry. He might end up being their leading rusher and receiver.
    Let's win the f**king game.

They open at home vs. the who-knows-what Packers, plus have the NFC East and AFC East. I think there are 7 or so wins in that.

Winston might win the QB job just so they can put Hill out there at Wide Receiver.

This has been mentioned in other threads, but it's worth keeping an eye on here. So far, we don't know how long Wentz will be out.

    IR question

If Stanley and Boyle are on IR NOW, will they count against the 53 on cutdown day. In other words, can they remain on IR while the Ravens have a different 53 at cutdown day without them - and then move two of the cutdown 53 (who have injuries) to the IR and then reactivate Stanley and Boyle for the season?

    Re: The 2021 IR Thread

I've updated the PUP lists on the OP. Most of these guys are expected to be back for the season, and many of them are still recovering from injuries from last season. For any of them however, it's not 100%.

Regarding the Ravens, the list includes Otaro Alaka (knee), Iman Marshall (knee), Nick Boyle (knee- MCL) and Ronnie Stanley (ankle).

To the best of my knowledge, players put on the IR before the start of the season neither count against the 53, nor can be activated during the season. The players must make the 53, then be put on IR and at that point they can come back after 3 weeks minimum.

Stanley and Boyle are therefore on preseason PUP.

    Sounds like a fluke injury.
