Thread: Michael Schofield?

Re: Michael Schofield?
Jeff Z says he has a legit chance at making the roster FWIW.
I will repeat - this team is committed to NEVER having a depth problem on that Oline again. Must have nightmares of LJ running for his life...

Re: Michael Schofield?
I think there's 2 realistic scenarios for starting LG
If Powers starts at LG
Stanley-Powers-Bozeman-Zeitler-AV
Phillips-Mekari-Bredeson-Cleveland
So in this scenario, we'd haev to let go of either Bredeson or Phillips. It'd likely be Bredeson given I think they'll wnat the OT option in Phillips
If Cleveland starts at LG
Stanley-Cleveland-Bozeman-Zeitler-AV
Phillips-Mekari-Bredeson-Schofield(?)
That seems like the most likely scenario to me.
Wildcard - Stanley isn't ready to go
Mekari-Cleveland/Powers-Bozeman-Zeitler-AV
That would get Schofield on too.
Just some looks at how it could shake out. I'd be shocked if Bredeson didn't make it based on what I'm hearing, but he definitely has a path. I think Powers is gone like Lewis & Elumaneor were when they didn't earn starter spots. He'll want a fresh start and he only can play the G spot, whereas everyone else has multiple-spot versatility."Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre, and ain’t no man in here okay with just basic.”

Re: Michael Schofield?
I wasn't too high on the AV signing and I still think they're toying with that position. He's played RT as well.

Re: Michael Schofield?
Stanley is a question mark until he's not. Supposedly his rehab is going well, but would they say anything if it wasn't? We need to have some options if he is not ready to go week 1.

Re: Michael Schofield?
Grain of salt included, but from asking around off-the-record, it does sound liek everything is moving forward well.
But I do agree, they're unlikely to publicly say "it's not going well" lol.
I do think they're mindful of the possibility as a setback can happen any time."Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre, and ain’t no man in here okay with just basic.”

Re: Michael Schofield?
I think if Stanley is not ready to start (G-d forbid!), AV moves over to LT. Then we'd have Phillips and Schofield who have RT experience. Signing Schofield was a savvy move by EDC... Bc
