As for the command economy of Egypt, is this what you think is good? A very tiny percentage at the very top enjoy immense luxury while the vast, vast majority are subsistence living. PASS! I am 58 and went to solid middle class public schools and also a private Christian school. I learned that there were plenty of warts in America's history.

Why should anything be free? Nothing should be free. You should have to put some skin in any game you wish to participate in. It makes you value it more and take advantage of it more. But more importantly anything "free" comes at the cost to somebody else because nothing is free. Free healthcare? Should doctors, nurses, orderlies, etc all work for free? Should people building hospitals do so for free? Should the equipment be free? Should teachers work for free to give "free" education? I constantly hear from people that think education should be free clamoring for higher teacher pay. The left is nothing but cognitive dissonance at every turn (like letting "undocumented" workers in while whining about low pay for unskilled workers - if you don't see the problem here you are probably a lefty).

The only things that are free are our rights that don't cost others something, like free speech. Well, my free speech might cost your pansy-ass a bit of discomfort.

We don't have a right to free anything that costs somebody else something.

The fed artificially alters demand, prices rise due to govt backing on student loans and now we have a student loan debt crisis.

1- the problem was created by fed intervention and somehow the answer is more govt.
2-BA/BS degrees are commonplace requiring masters edu to be relevant in hiring process

She's a prime example of why I don't believe in free college. I never went to college and I got more economic sense but yet I don't go but I have to pay for anybody that's like her. It don't make economic sense lol

There is nothing inherently good about democracy.

It can be employed to moral, or to immoral ends.
