There can only be One #1 WR - Hollywood vs Bateman

Between Hollywood Brown and Rashod Bateman, which WR should be the focal point in the gameplan?

Which WR should the offense draw up plays to feature?

Which WR should be the primary target in route concepts/route design?

Which WR should the offense be built around?

In short, Who should be the Ravens "#1" WR?

I sort of take issue with the question. I hope the Ravens spread the ball around. I hope the gameplan changes every week, and I hope that everyone is featured and everybody eats.

Does there have to be a designated #1? Can't they be like 1a and 1b?

Too early to tell. Rookie is a rookie. Get some game tape and gifs together and we will know more.

I think this is going to be kind of like Torrey and Boldin. They both put up similar numbers, but both excelled at something different. I see Bateman being more of the Boldin type (not comparing him to Q, just the role) and Hollywood as Torrey. I like this as i dont think either are true 1s, definitely not yet, but ive always been in the mindset of having 2 WR2s is better.

I really like how this WR group is built and if Sammy stays healthy i think our offensive will be very hard to stop

    Yep.

    Who should be the 1A?

Let's say its 3rd and 7 and the defense is playing Cover-0 with pressure.
    You have to throw hot.
Holly and Bateman have the same match-up on a play.
    The coverage is the same.

    Which WR would you target?

Considering I’ve not really seen Bateman playing pro ball I’d have more confidence in Hollywood right now.

Well I think drafting Bateman in the 1st is saying they’ve given up on Hollywood ever being a no1 guy...I’ve given up as well but he can still be no2!

Whichever one is open. I know, it's a hot read so it's kind of pre-determined. I think Lamar would go with his boy Hollywood because of the comfort level and trust. Once Bateman gets a rapport with him though I think he becomes that hot read because if both players are tightly covered I'd take my chances with Bateman on a contested ball based on what I've seen of him in college and his larger catch radius.

Do you think Hollywood and Bateman will get equal target share?

I don't recall any Roman offense where more then 1 WR got a lump sum of targets.
