The FDA doesn’t have a problem with it, hence the emergency AUTHORIZATION
You care enough to imply its not safe.

It isn't what I want. It is what the FDA wants. Why haven't they officially approved it?

I have no idea how safe it is or isn't. That's the point. Do you dive into water not knowing if it safe or unsafe? Not me.

You have no idea what, if any, the long term side effects of this thing are.

Because they spent a shit-fuck-ton of money on developing it.

Listen - the goal was always to keep hospitals from getting overrun, which given how out of shape and obese the average American is, it is entirely possible for COVID to have that kind of impact.

So what you are saying is that the FDA has some sort of problem with it? Is that your point? The FDA doesn’t really think its effective and safe??????

You sure ask a lot of questions for someone who isn't answering any.

You are mowing those straw men down! I have not taken the position you are attacking.

The FDA has not approved it for whatever reason. I don't know what the process has lacked to this point for the vaccines to not be approved. Whether it is safe or effective I don't know. It seems to be effective at least in the short term and the safety, again in the short term, seems to be acceptable given the volume of vaccines given and the apparent low number of serious side effects.

That all said, how long it is effective is definitely in question (apparently booster shots annually are not out of the question) and long term side effects are absolutely unknown. If you are not at high risk of problems from the virus why risk those things on these vaccines given the questions still unanswered?

Again, I have the antibodies so I am in a sense vaccinated. It's easy for me to take this position. My kids are 19 and 17 and in good health. I would encourage them to not get it as well. For all we know they and my wife got it from me when I had it. I was quite sick in January of 2020. If that is when I got it then very little was known at that point. If I got it some time after I had no idea. But even when I was quite sick it was like a bad, lingering cold that took 3-4 weeks to get completely over. I would take that over an unknown vaccine.

So you admit its been adequately tested for safety to date and has been shown to be effective thus far?

LOL, is your comprehension that bad or are you that desperate to "win" this debate?

I did not say anything like that. I mentioned it was apparently safe and apparently effective in the short term.

There is most definitely an unknown risk which I assume is why there is no approval yet. And there is also a big question regarding long term effectiveness.

Thats why there was a question mark (?) at the end if the sentence.

So if its apparently safe, why are you implying its not?

In case anyone wondered where most of the lack of rationality in regards to Covid is coming from.

The Atlantic just called out half of it's readers and their panic porn/pro-lockdown ways.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...ckdown/618780/

This is the lefts form of science denial. Being pro-lockdown is the new political correctness for them.
