I use all kinds of modern translations. The later the translation the more manuscript options they have had to work with.

I’ve got an ESV study Bible myself. Really like the breakdown they provide.

True that's why I like it. I had so much Shakespeare shoved down my throat during HS years it stuck to me.

Ugh I remember having to do a quarter of Shakespeare in every year of high school. To me it was total torture.

I remember listening to the phonograph record of Macbeth during class once and wondering wth was I listening to. The teacher was all into it, lol.

I cringe when Shakespeare comes up on Jeopardy. I was so turned off in school when they taught that stuff, I totally blocked it out, as did most of my classmates. My Jeopardy kryptonite.

Heck anything that has to do with plays and poetry any of that stuff I'm usually one out of a hundred on getting it right.
