This is my favorite pick so far. The guy is a mutant.

6’6” 340lbs…and he’s not a sloppy mess of a lineman. He’s country strong. Just a big fucking dude.

He’s not going to be an all-pro pulling guard, but good luck trying to bull rush that dude. If he gets his hands on you, you’re not going anywhere. And he’s a bulldozer run blocker.

He’s like the Haloti Ngata of guards.

I’ve seen Frank Ragnow as a pro-comp and Brandon Brooks. Brooks is a little more athletic, but is also a big iOL at 6’5” 345lbs.

I don’t think that’s a good comp either for one very specific reason.

Arm length.

Fluker has freakishly long arms, which is why he was a LT at Alabama and why he was a high draft pick projected to play OT in the NFL.

Cleveland, while a large guy, doesn’t have super long arms and (to my knowledge) did not play OT in college and was never projected as an OT. He’s a pure guard.

Harbaugh said the Ravens badly wanted Ben Cleveland and he was all over DeCosta earlier in the day to trade up and get him. DeCosta resisted temptation and they got the guy who they wanted. DeCosta said they would have turned in card for Cleveland at start of day.
