Re: Mass shootings
By my estimate, the overwhelming majority of them are (whether they call themselves that or not)
That includes republicans and democrats.
The vast majority of them think nothing of taking the property of one man, and giving it to another... and of creating incestuous relationships between government and business...
If it walks like a duck...
I swear y'all have wet dreams about being in a socialist country lol

Re: Mass shootings
Independent of their political leanings, the nation of Canada is largely comprised of people of Northwest European heritage. They are traditionally what we have called "western".
As such, they have a generational foundation of respect for individual rights, willingness to delay gratification, sufficient impulse control to abstain from brutalizing their neighbors for a dollar...
While these values may be undergoing significant decay they are nevertheless still quite prominent. Even their embrace of Socialistic action (while misguided) is rooted in attempts to be kind...
So when I say "cultural"... I very much mean cultural.
There has been an erosion of values in the US... which has largely shifted the game. We have created urban population which are going on 2...3..4 even more generations... never having known what it's like to provide for themselves and their families. Living by taking from others... sometimes using the state as the instrument of theft... sometimes doing it directly. Never knowing the notion of mutual respect... Never delaying gratification... Essentially feral.
Couple that with spoiled self-indulgent suburban youth who grow up to be monsters because they never heard the word "no"...
Place firearms in the hands of these people.. and you have a problem..
Not because firearms are bad... But because we're raising shitty people...
And we're raising shitty people because we're taking away the thing that people actually need to be healthy psychologically. That being "purpose".
Without it... we have millions of people adrift...without moral rudder...

Re: Mass shootings
I doubt it. I’m not sure how old you are but I’m 48. I actually feel like my generation ( Gen x? ) has dropped the ball. We grew up in what would be a Utopia now. And for some reason we’ve let Evil politicians take that all away. Most of us prob went to public school..and actually learned! Now it’s Common Core Horseshit. We let our kids play sports with “participation trophies “!! What the living Hell!! Man I sucked at Basketball..and was cut from a Rec team 3times!!! Everyone makes the team now. Everyone plays too! When I coached Lacrosse and Football ..I had kids who couldn’t wipe their damn nose .. but I had to let them play because their parents paid their money!
It seems like it was over night. I know it’s been a slow process but it’s working. We’ve become a “dependent “ nation. Unless you can send your kid to private school and then to an Ivy League school ...we’re done raising leaders here. No one wants to fight. Just bend over and take it up the butt!

Re: Mass shootings
Don't blame me. My first presidential ballot I cast was against the Clintons. I feel like the quality of our leadership and the visciousness of our politics started with those evil Hillbilly gangster, rapist, rapist-apologist, Alinsky disciple, huckster, trash liars. I don't feel like I dropped any balls and in fact feel like I've been fighting a rear guard action for 29 years.
