Probably has something to do with our country shutting down mental health hospitals. When I was a kid, there were mental health hospitals is many towns. Crownsville, Bowie, Baltimore

None now. All the people with mental issues are normalized

There are a considerable number of red states in the top 15 of percent GDP.

And red states occupy 8 of the top 8 states in % GDP growth.
They also have dramatically lower cost of living on average. Home prices and comparable rent, lower energy costs, lower taxes, etc. Top-line income is generally higher in blue states, but red states get better value for their dollar. Saying $XX.xxx and below is the poverty line nationwide makes no sense when $1 in Alabama gets you as much as $5 in LA or Manhattan.

It would also appear that being robbed, mugged, sexually assaulted, physically assaulted by fellow citizens, or being beaten to death by the police, or those protesting the police... is considerably more likely in blue states than in red.

    Peculiar.

Guns are an inanimate object. They are incapable of doing anything. They require someone to use them, otherwise they are essentially metal and polymer paper weights.

This isn’t a gun problem. This is a people problem.

Politicians and media suggesting otherwise are because of their agenda and because there are a lot of really stupid and impressionable people in this country.

Actually... the mental health industry is among the most profitable health businesses.

Very low overhead. Most patients are perpetual.

The problem isn't money. It is that some time ago, it became considered taboo (and in fact legally prohibited) to institutionalize people who can't take care of themselves but don't wish to be in a facility. Now they live on sewer grates and under bridges. Because they can... and because do-gooder advocates "freed" them.

Doesn't matter how nice a facility you offer them. They prefer the feral life.

But we are continuously asked to pretend that rational (which is to say "greedy" in left-speak) people are to blame. And ought feel guilty for not living under bridges and shitting their pants.

If you get rid of guns people find other means. Knives, clubs, cars, bombs, etc. The gun grabbers really believe this all stops once guns are gone. Then the crazy person finds how to make a bomb on line and blows up 100 people.

The only reason they sensationalize gun violence and pound the drum for getting rid of guns, is that they know that private gun ownership by half the country is the only thing preventing them from socialist totalitarianism.

It's so amazing how Canada has no guns yet people aren't turning to bombs to kill one another.
