    Justin Houston to visit Ravens

I think this would be a good move.

He had a pretty poor pressure rate. I'd prefer Melvin Ingram but we'll see.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

We could sign both. How much do you expect him to sign for? Spotrac has us at 13.5M. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sign for 4-5M AAV this late.

I must be reading the wrong sites bc I saw where he has been consistently at the top of the hurries list.

What sites are you reading? I wasn't able to find hurries.

I recall it being a PFF stat, but when I checked it is behind a paywall. https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/justin-houston/6222

Thanks - PFF does not rank him very high (based on their free info)

I agree and would prefer Melvin Ingram. Think he is a better fit. Last year he had 0 sacks, but it was an outlier to his career where he missed multiple games. Over the last 5 years he has had 7, 7, 10.5, 8 sacks.

However if we are only comparing sacks, Houston has 8, 11, 9, 9.5 and 4 (5 games) over the last 5 years.

Its because they seen that I did not pick a pass rusher with our first two picks

maybe so, but there will be several visits prior to the draft. Since the Ravens won't sign players before the draft, due to losing Comp Picks, they're getting all the ducks lined-up for May 3rd... Bc

Houston could fit in like Dumervil did -- he's a little further past his prime (and no Sizzle opposite him either), but I think he'd be a good pick up. Deal probably won't be finalized til after May 3, anyway.

I would really like Houston. He is the main EDGE rusher that I think is worth signing before the comp pick deadline. Does anyone know how signing Houston might affect those comp picks?
