First weekend of soccer! Also set to get my first dose of the vaccine this week. My wife snuck hers in yesterday because aa county opened this week's clinics up to everyone about 4 hours after I signed up for next week since they linked it in the email I was sent.

But to move where? I agree it sucks. My wife said she's going to die in this house just because she doesn't want to move again.

I owned a house in Ridgely's Delight 30 years ago. We were robbed one Easter, with our first kid on the way, so we decided to move. Found an old house built in the 20s that was pretty simple but with plenty of land—originally just a summer home along the Gunpower River and the North Central rail line. Owned by an old couple who had lived on "the hill" for thirty years. We offered their asking price, but with a contingency to sell our house, plus my wife's house in Hamilton. They turned us down. Heartbreaking. I wrote the couple a letter saying we understood, although we were disappointed, and hoped to find a place we too could call home for the next 30 years. A week later we got a call they accepted our offer. After being here 30 years now, now with a new wife for the last seven, I can't fathom packing up and moving.

Got my first one 3 weeks ago. Easy peasy. A little arm soreness but that was it. My 2nd is next Saturday. I can't wait to get this done.

Getting my second Moderna on Monday. We shall see. It kicked my wife's ass.

The wife and I received our second Moderna shot in February. She was fine, but ther next day I had a minor headache and felt a wee bit exhausted. I rested then was OK on the following day... Bc

El Dorado Hills, CA. Kind of a lateral move, but a quieter area.

Where I live now is Elk Grove CA, just south of Sacramento. Elk Grove has a population of 175K, El Dorado Hills is 42K. My commute is side roads now vs highway and interstate. Same time but shorter distance on slower roads. Wife is going to need to add 25 minutes to her drive.
