He spoke very highly about Roman.

"He found so many special ways to get me the ball. Whether is was quick on a shallow, whether it was a double-move, whether it was going deep. I just can't wait!"

"When I was in Buff, I had my best times with him"

On coach Keith Williams.

"He works on the art of route running. Making it easy on guys to actually get open. He can take a guy that runs a 4.8 and make sure he can separate and get open.

He also basically called out the WRs by saying its up to them to get open.

Not at all!

Watkins on GRo, "he's got a complex offense. I know the world hasnt seen that yet, but he's definitely going to open it up this year"

He was calm and sensible with no sign of the solar lizard being. My main take away was that he clearly loves Keith Williams.

Williams and Tee Martin were the two biggest free agents signings this off season IMO. We'll see if I'm right.

I hope so. I only hope one of them is empowered enough to correct Roman if his play call is going to end up with receivers running into each other, running to the same spot etc. Just to be someone who understands the passing game enough to keep him right.

It's possible his design didn't do that.....a receiver running the wrong route did. I have no idea which it is, but I won't automatically assign blame to Roman.
