Re: Another example of the left putting politics over human life
That data came from the CDC study released Monday of just under 4,000 heath care workers, police, firefighters and other essential workers who received one of the two mRNA vaccines between Dec. 14 and March 13. The vaccinated people were tested for COVID-19 every week for 13 weeks to monitor how effective the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were in daily life in the U.S., outside of a clinical trial.

Testing showed that the risk of infection went down by 90% two weeks or more after they received their second dose, and even just one dose was 80% effective after two weeks. Of the 2,479 people in the study who were fully vaccinated, just three contracted COVID-19, which is in line with the vaccine's efficacy. In comparison, the CDC also tracked 994 people who were not vaccinated, and 161 contracted COVID-19. No one in the study died.
Additionally, health experts had been concerned that vaccinated people could carry COVID-19 asymptomatically and potentially unknowingly transmit the virus to unvaccinated people. But none of the vaccinated people tested positive for COVID-19 during the 13 weeks, so they did not carry the virus.Last edited by blah3; 04-01-2021 at 01:10 PM.

How exactly do you consider that "owning". Your own article say it does not APPEAR that they stop transmission. There are currently studies going on to see if they do or not.
I would love to know how they stop transmission when they don't even prevent the virus, but sever symptoms.

And you said it does, at this point it's not clear if it does or does not. There is reason to suggest that they may lower the risk of transmission.
However, the rest of what I said it is still accurate. I also forgot to add the concern about infertility from these vaccines.

Re: Another example of the left putting politics over human life
How re they getting this data. We already know this virus doesn’t transmit “equally”. Look at numerous examples of sports teams. Look at the Ravens example when a RB played in a game Sunday, and tested positive Monday. That means he had direct contact with at least 50 players and he only passed the virus on to 2 others. Well, we don’t know if he passed it, or caught it.
So we have a virus that seems to only impact 10% of the population. And of those, only about 1% show symptoms. And now, the vaccine doesn’t seem to stop people from getting the virus (see numerous headlines this week talking about numerous people with both shots, still testing positive). If we still had a profession of journalism, we might have people trying to get answers.

So vaccines are readily available for anyone that wants them in Pa... so why are we still forced to wear masks? Asking for a friend...
