Re: LJ Fort released
They basically decided to go with Board as the stabilizer and hand the keys to Harrison.
Move really depends on whether Harrison plays well. He was a 3rd round pick, got better as the year went on - it's time for him to step up."Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre, and ain’t no man in here okay with just basic.”

Fort is under contract, but the Ravens are going to let him go and let him test the market and pick up the $2.25 million in cap savings. He's a candidate to return if they can make the money work.

Like the guy a lot but they were prepared for this and saves over $2M in cap. Wish him luck, next man up

Re: LJ Fort released
In a normal year I doubt we cut him, but we're squeezed a little tighter than we were expecting to be this offseason and that $2.5m will go a little further in this year's depressed market.

Re: LJ Fort released
Cutting the chord and handing the keys to the young guys on the inside.
Of course, the signed Josh Bynes off the street 2 years ago and he did well. You figure there might be alot of vet ILBs on the market come the start of the season if they need to go with a plan B.
and they have Board, Welch and Alaka on the roster.
Bottom line, Fort was very good but they can find someone for less.
