H.R. 1, the For the People Act of 2021

I think this bill is doomed OR will the filibuster die to get this bill passed.

If they changed the bill to what it really is, then politicians might vote for it. For the people, ha. Change the name to “make elections illegitimate “

"The bill would also prohibit commonsense voter ID rules, require no-excuse absentee and early voting, permit felons to vote, and allow people to vote at the wrong polling place."

Under such bureaucratic nonsense wouldn't anyone cast absentee/vote early and in turn vote at a separate polling place altogether?

A properly funded electoral system would be able to pick up your attempt at a second vote, then charge you with attempted electoral fraud.

In the history of government, outside of war has anything ever been "properly funded"?

There are countless other democratic countries around the world that can do it.... perhaps it is just our broken system that is the problem.

I was hoping they would introduce ranked choice voting.

More importantly, has it been effectively run

Sounds like we need better bipartisan or preferably non-partisan systems to run elections.

How if voter ID is not required? I could vote 10,000 times via mail and many times in person under aliases. Like what happened in November.

YES! Crap loads of things are properly funded. The issue is the money is stolen and/or spent by bureaucrats who really don't give a good damn or, perversely, are encouraged to wastefully spend.

The beltway is a prime example. The money the government has spent over the decades continually working on it could have paid for the completion of whatever it is they are doing years ago.
