Re: Willie Snead sounding off on Twitter
Then stop using a word when you mean you want the literal opposite of what it means. It can’t really be argued that balance means anything but equal on both sides, can it? Picture a double beam scale, when equal quantities are on each side it remains in balance. When what someone wants is to have far more on one side than the other, why use the word balance? That’s not what it means? You don’t want balance if you want a 60/40 split, it doesn’t matter if that’s what the rest of the league does. Use a word that actually means what you want to say, like proportionate, typical, unbalanced towards the pass, a “modern split”, many terms mean what he wants to say, balanced isn’t one of them. He actively wants the opposite of balance.

Re: Willie Snead sounding off on Twitter
I guess people read/see what they want.
This wasn't Snead sounding off.
This was Snead explaining to a casual that quality isn't necessarily determined by volume.
Now; Hollywood's re-tweeting Snead comes off as more whining.....same as Hollywood's previous chirps.
I'll be the first to express frustration at the some elements of Roman's offense/passing game.
But from Hollywood? Of all people its hypocritical.
Based on target share the Ravens have do have a "#1 WR" by volume of targets.
Hollywood gets 25% of the target share.
Go look at any Greg Roman passing game and you'll see the #1 WR in that offense puts up numbers. (Crabtree, Boldin, Watkins)
It's up to Hollywood to make more of his targets and until he does that won't be perceived as true #1 WR.
The difference between Hollywood and AJ Brown is much greater then the 7 targets that separate them."Those corners...and those safeties are going to be one-on-one... and we got to make them pay for it," Harbs
"I think he’d be[Lamar] the greatest player in the history of the game,” Young said

Re: Willie Snead sounding off on Twitter
My only point was that the Titans defense isn't good, bottom 5 in YDS/G and allowed 27.4 PPG
We scored 20 which was a full Touchdown below their season average. Our defense won us that game, it shouldn't evidenced as a gold star game for Roman and the scheme in the playoffs

Re: Willie Snead sounding off on Twitter

Re: Willie Snead sounding off on Twitter
The current scheme has been successful "their way" to an extent (mostly in the regular season) and they're sticking with what has worked. It's really just that simple. My issue lays with it not being sustainable long term or getting the job done in the playoffs against better gameplans to stop it. I'm not going to hold Harbs feet to the fire for sticking with something he sees as being effective, I just don't see it lasting much longer "their way" and want to nudge in the direction of what the analytics say is more effective. That's it.
But I have a feeling if I said "up" you would say "down", if I said "the sky is blue" you would say "sometimes it's not". It's all good. We're all fans of the same team and just want them to be the best they possibly can be.

Re: Willie Snead sounding off on Twitter
I think so as well. Don't need to re-invent the wheel. Don't need some superstar FA wideout. Just make some quality additions and attack the problem... attack it the same way they attacked the run defense last offseason. When the front office/coaching staff really puts their minds to something they usually achieve it. But the first step is acknowledging we need to improve that area drastically.
Always seems like WR/passing game is some taboo subject that everybody has a hair trigger to defend.
