The government is not a producer.

It has NOTHING that it does not first take from someone else.

I would have thought at least this simple truth was clear to you.

Robbery is the appropriation of an individual's property without consent... most often by force, or the threat of force.

And if you of course, withhold your consent... men with guns will come to your house... take everything you own... sell it at auction... and imprison you.

If you choose to defend yourself and your property, they will kill you.

You may choose to delude yourself if you wish... most do.

    Government counts on it.

Quit stealing my shit... I'll provide my own education (and have literate children as a result)... I'll provide my own protection (and not have a boot on my neck)... I'll even pay a user fee for private roads... no problem... EZpass works pretty well

Stop mugging me while telling me you're doing it for my benefit.

    You're not.

    Your product is shitty.
Well let me ask you some questions:

    1. Did you go to private school your entire life?
    2. Are all your kids in private school?
    3. Have you ever called 911?

Private roads are the STUPIDEST idea ever, so I won't even acknowledge it.

Well you can buy your own private island and do as you wish with no government, regulation, or taxation. What are you still doing here in America? Go and leave to your own private oasis lol

    For a few years, yes.

My kids are grown, but they went to private schools, yes.

    No.

So you've benefited from public schools. And your kids benefited from you going to public schools, and I'm sure you have coworkers or employees that benefit from public schools. America wouldn't be what it is today without public school. You know that and I know that.

    More specifically my parents "benefitted".

I was a child... and not legally able to make such decisions.

But even my parents realized that public schools were becoming socialist illiteracy factories.

And of course that's gotten only worse.

And of course none of this addresses the idea that a mugger may not claim to be your benefactor it he steals your wallet and buys you something you don't want with a subset of his ill-gotten loot.

Lol the point is we collectively pool our money together in the form of government and taxes in order to pay for things that benefit the whole. We are better off as a country because we have public roads, schools, and use of police, firefighters, ect...In theory, the government isn't an entity in its own, but the voice of the people.

Sooooooo if you don't want to be a part of "the people" or you don't want the government to take your money, you should go to a private island and live your libertarian dream.

When the hell was socialism ever taught in schools? I'm young and only heard of socialism when Bernie started running for president. And I paid attention in school!

I'm positive no one was even remotely taught socialism in school. That's a lie.
