Re: Watt to B'more?
Watt has made $100 million in career earning from the Texans alone not counting his endorsement money. Thought maybe he would take less for a surer bet at making the Super Bowl.
Perhaps Watt believes in the Cardinals plan, but it probably has more to do with them cutting the biggest check to deposit into JJ's bank account.

Re: Watt to B'more?
It's a 2 year deal. Watt could be thinking that he gets 1 more payday and then takes the cheap deal at 34 to try and win a ring

Re: Watt to B'more?
Yes, IMO the BIGGEST paycheck. If he's already made, as you posted, $100 million then logic states it shouldn't be about money, but to cap an excellent career with a championship. I'm not trying to sculpt the man's life, but he grew up in Wisconsin so Green Bay seems like a good choice, or even Pittsburgh where his two brothers play... Bc

Re: Watt to B'more?
There are only two places he could have gone that would have arguably guaranteed a Championship. One wasn’t going to pay him that and nor was the other. The other is also trying to sign Barrett.
Arizona was only one win away from the playoffs last season and Murray was hurt that last game. They’re not schmos.

Per Rapoport, Watt gets $12 million to sign. The deal has a base value of $14.5 million in 2021, with a base value of $28 million over two years.
To get to $31 million, Watt needs to have 10 or more sacks in 2021 and 2022
