Now it’s official that the Panthers are cutting Short, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Short might be the kind of player that sits on the market until after the draft, then gets a one year deal with a team that missed on a tackle. Maybe $5 mil + incentives.

Not only that but it's an unmissable opportunity to get even older on the D line.

"hey Eric, got a 32 year old lineman we should check out"
"oh yeah? Is he a center or guard?"
    "... Defensive tackle"

    Thanks

Another solid, if unspectacular safety on the market

He is a 32 yr old DT who has managed to play all of 5 games the past 2 seasons due to injuries. I think the only way he is getting to 5m is with incentives.

Apparently good in coverage - weak tackling - I wanted him but what do I know

Ravens could use another player at safety for depth, I don't know if Tre Boston makes sense, but he is available.

I thought a 3rd safety would be an offseaaon need, but I think that's likely the role Jimmy will be playing when Tavon comes back. That's where he was against Buffalo and played well. Plus we could always bring Kearse back
