I'd have us keep Bowser, McPhee and Ward if you can. If I can only have 2, I'll ditch Ward. Judon and Ngakoue walk.

Draft 1 true edge rusher in the first 2 rounds. I like tons of the top guys and am leaning towards a R1 selection at that spot. Somewhere in R3-5 draft another true edge or a guy who can push the pocket from the DE spot in our front who will backup Calais for a year (and can learn from CC and Pernell insofar as rushing from inside and outside).

McPhee. Ferguson. Bowser. Ward. Draft pick.

Not sure Ferguson is even going to be around. I could be wrong but l think he was a healthy scratch a couple of times.

So was Ward. I think in each case (Ward and Ferguson) they were healthy scratches because suiting up 6 EDGE guys is too many for any one game. That many EDGE guys would have taken away needed active depth at other positions like CB or OL. Someone had to sit.

That ultimately means that the team won't cut Ferguson. More likely he will play a key role or at least be given the chance to be a major rotational EDGE guy.

Do we consider Bowser an EDGE or is he "merely" a good, old fashioned LB? I'm a big Bowser fan; saw him play many times here in Houston. I think he should be kept because he's a complete football player.
So far, Ferguson seems neither EDGE nor LB. I'd take Ward over Ferguson; Bowser over either of them.
Not much really matters, and the rest doesn't matter at all.

I’d say Bowser is just an OLB. He can drop in coverage , rush the passer some and he can set the edge. Good all around guy. He’d be my first keeper for sure.

Keep Bowser, McPhee, Ward, and Ferguson.

    Let Judon, and Yannik go.

Draft an edge in round 1 or 2 (assuming someone falls, or we can maneuver to get good value with one of their first 2 picks).

It's looking more and more like this years defense isnt going to be that much different than last seasons. Probably not quite as good.
    DL:
    Calais Campbell
    Brandon William's
    Derek Wolfe
    Ellis
    Madubuike
    Broderick Washington Jr.
    Ward
    LB:
    Queen
    Harrison
    Forte
    Board
    Bowser
    McPhee
    Ferguson
    DBs
    Humphrey
    Peter's
    Young
    Smith
    Averett
    Harris
    Clark
    Elliott
    Levine?
Plus a couple of draft picks and maybe a low cost veteran or two.
