Jesse's dad, Rick Minter, was head coach at Cincinnati in '96 when John Harbaugh coached under him as assistant head coach and special teams coordinator, and Rex Ryan joined the staff as D-coordinator. Current Ravens special teams coordinator Chris Hewitt was their kick returner, and two of his teammates were former Ravens, Brad Jackson and Robert Tate.

Correction, Chris Hewitt isn't the special teams coordinator. Duh, that's Chris Horton. Got the names transposed in my head. Hewitt is the DB/Def Passing Game Coordinator. He was born in Jamaica, btw.

By the way, looks like Urban Meyer wants to talk to Hewitt about joining his Jags staff. They also want to talk to DL coach Joe Cullen.

I'm hearing that they are interested in Cullen as their DL coach too, with some sort of "assistant head coach" type of title.

I would hope the Ravens block that sort of lateral move with a BS ceremonial title, or match the ceremony to keep him with a raise.

Is this the perfect spot for Eric Weddle to join the Ravens as a coach? Harbaugh gave him an open invitation and he said he was interested.

Yes, that would make for some interesting interviews and pressers!
