Re: Is the Season Inevitably on the Brink?

League is being ridiculous here. Cancel the remaining games for this week and push them all to week 18. Only 1 team that has already played potentially is going to the playoffs (DAL/WAS) so its not massively impacting anything but their bottom line. Whats the point in adding the week 18 contingency if you aren't going to use it when it should obviously be used?

Re: Is the Season Inevitably on the Brink?

In a vacuum, pushing the games to week 18 makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, this will likely be the same issue come week 18. We still haven’t seen the full effect of Thanksgiving and we’ll still have to make it through Christmas. There’s gonna be 007 level Christmas parties.

Start the draft order from where they are now, there really isn’t any real point in the Jets and those last place teams to continue playing. They’ve played enough season to determine who belongs in the playoffs and who doesn’t.

The season gets finished and they stop flirting with disaster.
They probably wouldn't go for it, but that's the best solution I've heard yet. Things aren't going to be getting better any time soon. Bite the bullet and get it done.

Quote from Cmdr. David Samuelson (portrayed by actor Ronnie Cox) in “Gray Lady Down” (best film of 1978) about a sub crew stranded on the ocean bottom:

[emotional response to rescuer on the surface; negative sarcasm] “Ohhh yes! We will find a way.”

Santa Clara County officials say that no pro or college sports teams are able to have games or practices in the county that include direct contact for the next three weeks. That, of course, includes the #49ers, who have two home games (Dec. 7 and 13) scheduled in that window.

The seriousness of the pandemic aside, politicians by definition always seek attention.

Broncos players are seemingly lining up to get a chance to play QB.

I thought they should have had at least one reset week or 2. Mid season after thanksgiving everyone must quarantine for a week, no facility, no practice, no games that Sunday. This allows all teams to reset their cases and everyone is back after the mandatory quaratine week
