It’s such a competitive disadvantage for both organizations.

I’m saying it now, they make us forfeit a game before they add on a week to the schedule just for our game.
Wait until cases skyrocket after thanksgiving. I could see a few more teams in the ravens current shoes between now and Christmas

Can't see that. But if we actually played tonight and ended it a tie, I'd consider that a huge positive, and that's essentially what cancelling the game would be. Would definitely benefit us.

We are going to find out shortly what the league is going to do with us.

Honestly, although it is one coach, he represents our organization. He royally fucked up, didn’t report symptoms and caused an outbreak within our team. Which has now lead to another team being affected and possibly a complete overhaul to the schedule.

They should add the week 18 for teams that follow the rules and an outbreak happens. But for one that clearly didn’t.... I hate to say it but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made us forfeit and I would be fully on board if another team were in our shoes.

I don’t see the league creating an extra week just for 1 game

A forfeit is more likely IMO

No. I dont see that as well. Maybe they could move the Cowboys game to the following Monday at 5pm.

Well, I think this is a situation where, as another poster implied, we should consider how we would feel if the shoe were on the other foot. I think enough of us would want the Steelers to have to forfeit.

Not saying it’s going to happen but that is a memo sent out by the NFL at the beginning of October.

Seems to fit our feet pretty damn snug.

Oakland lost a 6th for not wearing a facemask. This could be savage.

Yep. This will get bad if the league steps in which is almost a guarantee at this point.

Going to be heavy fines, loss of picks and a slight chance of forfeiting a game.

And the sanctions levied on us will go up astronomically if we can’t play this game Sunday.

Re: A look at the options for the Pitt game

I am thinking the NFL will try the following options (in order)

    1) move Steelers game to Tuesday, then Cowboys game to the next Monday
    2) Cancel/postpone Steelers game. If other games don’t end up needing moved (week 18) then it is cancelled which gives NFL 16 team playoff. If other games end up needing rescheduled, they do week 18. Oddly canceling the game may be best for Ravens. Not only does it give them better chance for playoffs by having 8 teams, it means eliminating toughest remaining game and 10-5 probably gets them in (higher winning percentage than trams that finish 10-6)

I can’t see the NFL forcing a forfeit, but I do think there will be penalties in fines and draft pick(s)
